Grounding to reduce inflammation : The Earthing Movie Documentary linked

Not giving my opinion on this as I have no experience or additional info. I found the documentary very interesting and think other will too.

(I'm contacting the producers to see if they would be interested in doing a film about Paraquat and that they should talk to the authors of End Parkinson's Disease. Never hurts to ask.)

Once upon a time I attended a spiritual retreat given by a Native American shaman. One of the exercises was to bury ourselves in the earth and feel the earth energy. We did this in a pine forest with a lot of loose debris so it was easy to cover ourselves with it, which sufficed. I do not remember how long it took, maybe an hour or so, to feel the earth energy. Afterwards I did walk around barefoot for a while to continue that connection.

In the practice of Qigong we connect both to heavenly and earthly energies. I have received substantial improvement from practicing Qigong which I set forth here: healthunlocked.com/cure-par...

Also note that connecting to the earth energy, which is referred to as "grounding" in the film, is not the same as being grounded electrically, even though both involve connections to "ground" - lying in pine forest debris would not suffice to be grounded electrically. On the other hand, a person could be in contact with an electrical conductor connected to earth ground, and thereby be grounded electrically, without actually touching the earth.

I would comment the same as "hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy" - earth's revised entry

I'm not saying walking bare foot is not good for you. I like to be bare foot whenever possible.

But the pseudo-science in this video?????

This reminds me of some of the rubbish I read on my HiFi forum, where I just this week learned a wonderful Dutch phrase - that I've been dieing for an excuse to use

"heb je een klap van de molen krijgen? "

Full of pseudo-science untruths - like 17:01 and on.

Let me ask you a question. If you have to connect your cable TV shield to EARTH - to avoid snow on the picture and avoid (unearthed) signal leaking into the environment and disturbing aircraft radio communication.

So how do you Earth a 747 in flight? Snow on the video? I think not. Ground is simply a return path for current. It doesn't have to be bonded to earth (terra firma), for electrical grounding purposes. Your household ground is bonded to earth for safety reasons.

I'm not going to comment with my opinion on the content of the documentary. What is important to me is this documentary has 2.4 million views just on youtube. That is impressive. A documentary about paraquat and its link to neurodegenerative diseases like PD needs to reach such an audience. Therefore I have written to the company that produced this documentary and am reaching out to other documentarians with the Paraquat / PD Documentary idea.

Ya, but the content of the video matters if you are contacting them to make a parkinsons video. If they make a nonsense video about grounding then why wouldn't they make a nonsense video about parkinsons, full of half truths and pseudo science. YouTube and Facebook is where misinformation lives and it promotes, anti-vax, flat-earth, covid deniers. I know you're just trying to promote parkinsons but based off that video the creators don't have a history in embracing science.

All valid points and I am planning on how I will reach out to a different documentarian. Please message if you want

My husband has an earthing mat, and swears by it. He has ms, not pd. I haven't tried it yet.
