Grounding mats and bed covers are another no-brainer.
I haven’t looked into it, but I’m sure the Western medicine thinks it’s stupid . But it isn’t.
Couple months ago I had an ear problem and the doctor put me on prednisone. Basically cured mostly symptoms while on the steroid. Kills inflammation.
Since then, I’ve been fighting my Parkinson’s by fighting inflammation. Carnivore diet, cold plunge, exercise grounding mat etc.
I just got back from weeklong vacation where I didn’t sleep with the grounding mat. All during the vacation, I slept like crap. The first day home I was so tired that I fell asleep on the couch and slept poorly. The next two nights, I slept on my bed (with grounding cover)and slept great. I got up this morning after falling asleep on the couch again. I slept like crap again.
Sleep is probably the most important thing you do for your health.

That's amazing I too have been looking into grounding and red light therapy especially during the winter months in NE USA. Do you have a link or name of the mat you are using? Im on day three of the 'cold plunge' shower technique and although first tough, figuring it out mentally and with breathing and feeling much better!!
I've read about Grounding, essentially redirecting polar molecules to establish magnetic forces in the body. During Summer I walk around barefoot. That allows my feet to draw electrons just like electric activity in clouds. Grounding pulls electrons toward Earth while pushing positrons toward the top of my head. I don't know if any of that is real, but it doesn't hurt to try. I've studied acupuncture which is inserting bits of metal to direct "Chi" the energy of the body. I've seen how one needle in the forehead can stop seizures. Personally, I've felt how needles can stop cramping in my neck, shoulders and calves. And one needle in the palm can stop a headache.
' These results suggest that the earthing mat may represent a promising new method for promoting sleep quality and could serve as an effective therapeutic technique. '
I'm very persuaded by what I've seen and read about grounding, and at the very least make sure that I stand outside on the grass for a minimum of a minute or so daily. With a grounding sheet on the bed I understand that you have be careful re grounding through the domestic electrical sockets due to conducting 'dirty electricity' back to yourself, so a wire connected to the ground outside is preferable. Obviously this will be impossible for some people eg if they live in a apartment block etc
Thank you for the positive feedback about the grounding mat -I can't wait to try it, What brand do you use? Sound, restorative sleep, a healthy diet, yoga stretching/strength exercise, and eliminating stress with meditation keep my PD at bay. Cold seems to aggravate my tremor, but moist heat improves it for me.
Keep in mind that most indoor earthing/grounding devices require a grounded electrical outlet in order to work. Many older homes do not have grounded outlets and thus can not support such equipment. Many home earthing/grounding devices come with a plug in checker for your outlets that tells you instantly if your outlet is grounded. Such devices look similar to this :
What that device tells you is whether there is a functioning return path to for the live terminal to the neutral terminal via the earth pin. A way to complete the circuit which does not use the neutral wire. It tells you nothing about whether that connects to earth. My experience comes from Hifi. People talk a lot of nonsense about earth on those forums too.
