A new study suggests that repurposing glycolysis-enhancing drugs such as terazosin, which is typically used to treat an enlarged prostate, may reduce the risk of Parkinson’s disease in men.

This isn't limited to terazosin, but I wonder if drugs which purportedly prevent Parkinson’s are also effective at slowing or stopping progression in those of us who already have it.

Switched my hypertension medication from atenolol to terazosin (8mg/day). Terazosin is doing an adequate job of keeping BP down. Hard to tell if it is slowing PD progression.

It may be very helpful for women, there's not one prostate problem reported in the entire literature.
