I am suffering from anxiety associated with Parkinson's. It just seems to start and I'm not sure what has brought it on or what is causisng it. Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks.

What meds are you taking? How long ago were you diagnosed?

Medical Marijuana, solved my anxiety problem years ago it’s never come back. I used a tincture CBD with low THC for about 10 months.

I have a very good hypnotherapist who I met years ago. With her help back then I trained myself to access calm peaceful brain patterns and give birth med free. That's what we need when PD anxieties take over the wheel. Since deciding to enlist her help again in March I have calmed a lot. It helps create new pathways for my brain when it goes off on an anxiety spree and techniques to reroute it to the more healthy thinking patterns. Before that, mindfulness was helpful - apps like Headspace are good,

My hubby has had this problem for a few years. Initially hardy’s daily essential nutrients got rid of it for a year but when he started on c/l it got much worse again. The beginning of winter always makes him feel much worse .

Lately he is finding some relief alternating with full spectrum hemp oil with thc and cbd removed, GABA, using the apolloneuro device, and he is now taking 1/4 a Kemadrin tablet twice a day. We are in mid summer again. He is better at the moment than he has been since May last year. Not sure which of the above is doing the trick or whether it is a combination.

Deep breathing may help you calm - look to things that you enjoy and create positive thoughts in your mind. Hope you find something that works for you.

A counselor helped me through some difficult thoughts today by saying them slowly interspersed with several breaths in between sentences, wow! Body regulation with breath🙏🏻

Check of Qigong - great breathing techniques available.

Greg Pontone at John's Hopkins has done some valuable research into anxiety and Parkinson's. I found this very helpful as I was wondering what the heck was going on and why I was getting anxiety more than usual

Besides the wearing off anxiety I find if I have anything going on that is stressful it amplifies this tendency.
