I wanted to share my experience, nothing to teach anyway. Months ago I had to stop pramipexole ( 1,05 a day ) as rigidity was causing problems. Had to switch to levodopa 25/100 half a pill twice a day. After some months, for my curiosity, I switched back to 0,52 pramipexole, quitting levodopa. Now it works fine. So,one lesson , maybe what is not good today may be good tomorrow. And one question Is there a chance that brain get used to a drug and therefore demands for more and that by switching to different molecoles once in a while you might lower this effect ?

Interesting.
Did the pramipexole affect your sleep? I’ve started taking it and keep waking at 3 or 4am, yet the information says it can cause sleepiness.
I got withdrawl when I tried reducing my Pramipexole. Now I'm on 2.25 mg since it did not work anymore when I increased back to my original amount. It would have been nice to have been warned about dopamine withdrawl. Doctor is now trying to get me to switch to Rytary, which at the dose I'm at (95) only make me more wobbly.
Did you get any of the side effects (I put on weight, got edema, and some compulsions).
i picked up some eyedrops for dry eyes yesterday....1,799.00 $/month...........insurance decided to cover it after i hassled them.

Ans. Definitely. Both short and long term "adaptation" of your receptors.

I think it could very well be. After all, you do become addicted to the medication. Well done. I'm just afraid that not all parkinsonians are capable of this. Because they already take too much medication.
