What a great saying, huh?

I just picked up that pearl while watching one of my dozens of health videos every week.

Thought I'd share that...

Now if we could figure out which food is good and which is bad (before somebody says they "know", remember there are almost as many that "know" the opposite is true) :)

i've been studying this for over 2 years

this much... there's a near universal agreement from doctors

1. don't eat sugar

2. don't eat highly processed foods

3. don't eat seed oils (sunflower oil, canola oil, etc.)

4. except for those doing the carnivore diet... eat lots of non-starchy plants

Why seed oils?

High heat - Avocado oil

Low and medium heat - Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Irish butter, Ghee.

I wonder about the carnivore diet. How do you get essential vitamins and minerals? And what happens if you do it long term? I cant imagine thats a good idea, although I can see on the great YouTubeBoobTube that its trending as quite a fad.

I love the concept of the Paleo Diet. Eat what a caveman would eat, before the invention of Agriculture. All one ingredient foods that you could technically find in the wild. Meat, Fruit, Vegz, nuts. Thats it. But take it easy on the sweet fruit!

But then views do diverge :)

I still have sugar (my Pepsi [with real sugar]) habit. And I have raw honey. I think the brain needs glucose.

But no gluten for me. I think PD is autoimmune and all autoimmune people should avoid gluten.

And no lectins if I can help it. And I think if you eat pork or chicken or any non-ruminant meat you are probably getting lectins from the corn they feed the animals. So I guess pasture raised non-ruminant might be okay. I don't worry about what my beef eats because I hope the lectins can't make it through the four stomachs.

So I mostly live on Pepsi (with real sugar), broccoli sprouts, beef, onions, cheddar cheese, wild caught fish and shrimp, okra, and pasture raised eggs. I am on the fence with sour cream. I love it.

I doubt most health experts would approve of my diet.

starting in 4 days (I have to eat the rest of my apples) ...

I go on a full ... super low carb ... low fat ... high protein diet ...

today is day #550 on my O.M.A.D. diet (one meal a day with all calories eaten within 2 hours) ...

I lost 50 pounds the first 8 months then got 'stuck' ...

So I'm expecting the super low carb diet to help me lose the final 30-35 pounds ...

and i definitely don't taste a drop of the #1 poison -- sugar -- except what's in fruit (and this will be 'gone' in about 4 days)

p.s. "cancer" LOVES sugar! its what it feeds on

That last remark about cancer and sugar, I'd love to know more about that one.

here's another good video

jump to the 14 minute mark to hear this M.D. attack SUGAR as the #1 cause of ALL cancers!

I stopped eating ALL added sugars when I self-diagnosed with PD over 2 years ago.
