Good morning all!
Curious to find out if anyone has had any experience with doing hyperbaric chamber work? I was wondering if that made a difference for anyone here? They reply to be great. Thanks.

Hi Rita. I don't know anyone with PD who has taken Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). There is evidence that PD is caused by insufficient blood flow to the brain. Could HBOT make a difference? My Neuro didn't shrug it off. HMMM!
Lol I have been reading about this for quite some time and you have to do many dives as they call it in the business for it to really take affect. I’m thinking about it because where I live they have a huge HBOT program and Clinic and I thought about looking into it. I know it works very well for football players who have the brain issues they experience from too many hits to the head and I’ve seen comparable studies for those that have PD.
A friend who had a traumatic brain injury used it and felt it did help. They also did cranial sacral massage and felt that helped to (gets fluids moving).
I too have been researching it for family member with advanced Parkinsons Due to the oxygen impact but had not pursued Since the city they live in only has a chamber at a hospital and they will only do it for approved usage such as after dives or for healing diabetic injuries. Additionally my PWP claustrophobic phobic so it’ll be an uphill battle to get them to be able to use it. If you have access to it, I personally think it definitely would be worth trying. You probably need four to ten sessions to start to see a real difference according to what happen with my friend.
Good luck
I am definitely inquiring about it to see if I can get a couple of appointments. I will keep you updated!
I just heard tonight that Massage Envy has HBOT. You sit upright enclosed neck down so your head is exposed
