Geeze, I can't believe you are not sleeping yet. I'm taking .50 clonazepam and 800 mg of Ibupropen and thankfully have been sleeping like a baby. Just sayin.....

Pat has already answered. What I will add is Clonazepam helps you get to REM sleep. :-)

yes, it was supposed to give me the REM sleep, but by the time my third dose was due i was so ill with side effects that my ex had to call for a Paramedic. if i had been alone here like i am now, i would be in deep schweppes. my dog is good, but she is struggling to get people to understand Doggie English on the phone.

Did you only take .50 a night? If so, I'm sorry they did not work for you. Maybe you should ask your Neuro for something else. I know we all hate to keep taking more pills but its pretty much the way it is. We all really need our sleep.

I have done 15 HBOT sessions. Love it. Anytime you can increase Oxygen levels it is a good healing process. Sessions last 1hr 20 min and cost me $175 each.

I recently discovered a new product that allows me to breathe better therefore increasing Oxygen levels. Check out this site. MaxAirNoseCones.com. My wife and I both have rising energy levels by using them.

Can't sleep smoke pot.

In pain smoke pot.

Yes I have heard wonderful news on the hyperbaric oxygen therapy! There is a Dr. in Palm Harbor , Florida that has had great success, the only problem is the damn Insurance company Dr.will not approve the treatment. The treatment is quite expensive . Dr. Spiegel has helped many people and Parkinsons patients .

Where do you go for the oxygen therapy ? Does your insurance cover the treatment ?

Do you go daily? Did you feel immediate results or over a period of time?

Hi P- Al.

I try my best to keep up with current research on some of the alternative or complementary therapies. Not easy to do with the lack of funded research going for them. Here is my take on HB Chamber treatments. To date there have not been any conclusive studies proving any help nor any harm by doing the HBC treatments. Breathing pure oxygen has a tendency to make any one feel better temporarily whether they are ill or not. Aside from that observation there is no medical conditions that I've read of that HB treatment will actually cure excelpt for sea divers who need decompression treatment.

Bottom line: it may work or it may not, no proof seems to be available for either. If it makes you feel better and you can afford it, why not? Just be VERY careful. Compressed pure oxygen makes one heck of a bang when exposed to even a tiny spark. There were 2 HBC deaths in Florida in 2009, and another one (2 if you also count a horse that died) in 2012. The latter of the two left a debris field of over 1000 square feet.) The former HBCs had poor wiring and soldering (and a Medical Doctor and staff member were convicted in the deaths of a 62 year old grandmother and her 4 year old grandchild) the latter - 2012 episode the horse's shoe caused the spark.

There has never been an accident in a hbot chamber when oxygen is breathed through a mask and where the chamber is pressurised with air. Come to the UK for HBOT . The MS therapy centres are cheap and there has never been an accident in two million treatments. Check the HBOTT web.

Hi Al, I have not used one but I have 3 friends who do. One has "MS" & has been using the chamber for years, he thinks it does him good, so that is all that counts ,but will not go away on holiday etc because of how he might be if he misses a session. The second one has "ME", he's not been using the cham ber long but thinks his legs are better "not so wobbily".And the 3rd has "PD", with a lot of pain, again she hasn't being going long but does feel better for it. If you think it works , thats half the battle.

I tried it after being persuaded by a friend with MS. The staff at the centre had no idea whether it was effective for Parkies, but gave the classic reason for doing it - 'Well it won't do you any harm'.

I found the whole experience quite depressing. I sat in this 'diving decompression tank' with the regulars with MS who had been coming for years, living in hope of a miracle cure, but I heard no stories of success or saw any evidence of posive outcomes. I felt they had been sold a dream. Many of them reported feeling better afterwards, but I am convinced that they would have had the same result from a programme of exercise.

The hyperbaric oxygen chamber worked very well for me! I had to use a Parkinson's walker for years before doing the chamber 3 times a week - I couldn't urinate - and I couldn't carry anything - I was falling 4 to 5 times per day - now I don't use a walker - I can urinate - I carry my backpack and purse - and o don't fall. I'm in South Florida and my doctor is Craig Tonio. You

Someone mentioned this to me, how many sessions in total did you require ? Do you have to continue to go to maintain your good results? Was it expensive or covered by your insurance ? Thank you!

Hi ConnieD. I went 3 times a week for months ! I probably had far too many! It was way too expensive and insurance would not pay. I don’t seem to have to continue to maintain he good results. The thing that really helped me was Howard Shifke - he recovered from Parkinson with no drugs - you can buy his book in Amazon - FIGHTING PARKINSONS AND WINNING. I speak to him once a week and he mhas really helped me! Dr Constantini’s protocol with b1 - Thiamine shots really helped me! I also pursued BE IN HEALTH ministry - which helped me too. More importantly - I want to say that the most important thing that helped me was finding out why I got Parkinsons in the first place - it was MOLD in my house that caused me to have Parkinsons symptoms - I really had CIRS - chronic inflammatory response syndrome- when I found this out - I moved and healing began. Let me know if I can help you more. Blessings - Barbara
