My primary goal is to downplay anxiety and to improve sleep.
My fragmented sleep is not healthful.
Do some PwP take one dose-quantity in evening? A different size dose for daytime awakeness and activity?
Insights and anecdotes appreciated.

CANNABIS
8/20/20 per Dr. Michelle Sexton's prescription for insomnia and possibly tremors:
-- started on tincture 1:1 CBD/THC by Wonder Extracts, before bedtime, gradually ramping up from 0.25 mL up to 1 mL max, in 3-day 0.25 mL steps. Ramped-up to 1mL within 7 days.
-- delayed start of vaporized flower for daytime use, until the full effect of tincture has been established:
- Flow Kana "Dancing Sun" 6.9% THC, 10.2% CBD and/or
- Flow Kana "Harmony Rose" 8.5% THC, 9.7% CBD.
which entail more complex preparations and $150-$350 vaporizer.
N.B. I also happen to have the following products on hand:
- Indica 5mg THC/serving Peanut Butter Cups, 2 hours for maximum effect, by Emerald Sky,
- 10mg THC + traces of CBD [less than 0.2mg]/serving, Chocolate, by Dreamers
20mg CBD oil softgels, by Sunsoil [only 4 softgels on hand, gifted by a friend]
9/4/20 Dr. Michelle Sexton writes, re: insomnia:
You could add another 5 mg of THC at night (the peanut butter cup, see above). Because at higher doses (30 and 50 mg) THC disrupted sleep architecture, I don't recommend going higher than 15 mg. There is no data to support CBD for sleep, but you could give the CBD capsule a try too. Adding the sustained release Melatonin might help to extend your sleep time as well.

What the heck is sleep architecture? Every time I hear or see the term used the user (MD, PH.D) deftly resists further definition.
Addendum to my earlier reply:
9/8/20 Adding as little as 1/4 of Indica 5mg THC/serving Peanut Butter Cups suffices to complement 1mL of 1:1 CBD/THC, both at bedtime, for 7 hours of sleep briefly interrupted by a single bathroom pee-run.
I take both CBD oil (5mg) and Melatonin (5 mg) when I'm getting in bed at night. I don't take at all during the day. I generally sleep about 7-8 hours every night. Sometimes wake up, but am able to go back to sleep after a few minutes.
I take cbd two times a day. Half dropper in AM and full at bedtime. I also take magnesium.
Some fascinating, informative replies thus far.
Have tried CBD but not noticed help with sleep, I'm just starting THC/CBD combo to see if that helps.
