CBD Oil (Cannabis Oil) usage in Parkinson's

Someone has suggested having CBD oil at night (2 drops under the tongue) for better sleep and less stiffness in Parkinson's.

Has anyone used it? Please share your experience.

Any side-effect in short/long term?

Any interference with C/L?

Thanks

Hubbys doctor recommends it for some people.

He said you really have to try it and see, as it helps some of his PD patients but not all. Anyway, having tried everything from chamomile w ltheonine, to magnesium and extended melotonin, we just ordered the CBD to see if it will improve anything at all.

There are so many CBD oils to chose from, It's hard to say which one, if any?

I had a problem controlling tremor before going to sleep despite taking IR and CR sinemet and using relaxation breathing at bedtime (with 110% sleep hygiene!). I added 60mg of pure CBD oil nightly and that gets me over the hill reliably (touch wood) for almost a year now. My tremor is now pretty strong (12+ years since diagnosis) so I need to relax it to zero before sleep. It's pretty quick to take effect and I don't think it's placebo. It's a complicated area but it works for me.

I take before bedtime and it definitely reduces pain, cramping and is amazing at sending me to sleep. I find Supreme CBD products to be very good

I tried it for months along with melatonin to help me sleep. I’ve now worked out that melatonin on its own is just as effective.

I also take it sometimes if I’m feeling a little jittery - it helps a touch.

As it’s so expensive here in Australia I’ve now essentially given up.

My takeaway is that cannabis based CBD with a small amount of THC content is the most beneficial as compared to hemp based CBD which has little if any THC content.

I have been using CBD oil Full Spectrum tinctures for 3 years now, sleep improved within two weeks and within three weeks the knot or tight muscle below my right shoulder bone closest to my spine disappeared and has not returned. For me the full spectrum has more noticeable effects vs the Isolate. Full Spectrum has small amount of Cannabis, flavonoids and terpenes along with small .03-.08% THC. For the Isolate did nothing.

I started with 600 mg a few minutes before going to bed. Four months ago I started 1200 mg. No side effects, It does not make you HIGH. I read somewhere that with CBD and PD may have shallower breathing while sleeping. I have not experienced anything like that. I just now that I sleep deeper.

A year ago while sitting in my neurologist office discussing the anxiety and how the anxiety seemed to shorten the time between dosage (Levo Dopa 25-100 and Pramipexole .25) she was about to write a script for some more junk and my wife and I asked what she thought about the CBD and how I noticed it would calm me down, she said to go for it. Now I start my morning off with a 600 mg gummy and if I have to drive in that WONDERFUL Atlanta traffic I will take another gummy.

I am currently using Sun Soil brand CBD tinctures. sunsoil.com/collections/cbd...

I discovered them looking for a gummy that did not have artificial colors (Red 40 etc)

I have noticed that it can help can help me focus when the dyskinesia starts. Out of all the MAGIC pills and supplements CBD Full Spectrum has been the only thing that I notice (as well as my family and friends ) working.
