Daily Dosage Guide for CBD Oil

I need someone with better math skills than mine. Here is a "guide" I found to recommended dosing.

The Stepwise Dosing Procedure

Start Low and Go Slow: The first step to finding your minimum effective dose is to establish a baseline dosage. Since many people report good results with CBD at low doses, we suggest you start with a minimal dose and slowly increase the dosage until you find results. Start with a small baseline dosage between 2-5mg, 2X or 3x daily (6-10mg total).

Maintain your baseline dosage for 7 days taking note of how the CBD interacts with your body.

After the initial 7 days of your baseline CBD dosage, if you are not receiving the benefit you need, then increase the daily dosage by 1-2mg every 3 days until you find the dosage that works best for you.

Once you have determined your minimum effective dose you may wish to decrease your dosage by one step to see if you can maintain the benefits at a slightly lower dosage.

My cbd:thc 20:1 oil has a 1 ml dropper. How does that convert to a 3 mg dose?

Being a card carrying member of legal medical usage in our state I have found a 1:1 mix CBD/THC that works excellently for me. It was trial and error with all the possible variables/timing though.

Do you get high on the 1:1 ratio?

I also take 2:1 at night before bed. I don't want any high so per their advice I only take 4 drops and it seems to work to help me sleep a little better.

prob could but can't stand the feeling of being more out of control than the reason I am taking the stuff. It was a bit of trial and error of course but well worth it.

Does it help with tremors? That is my main complaint.

It is the only thing besides Acupuncture that has ever relieved the inside "buzzing" like my cell phone was vibrating in my pocket.

This is complicated. Like everything else, it is the milligram that counts. You will need to know how many milligrams are in a mL of the product you use. Not all solutions are the same. This is often not on the bottle. I had to call the manufacturer to see how many milligrams were in say, 1/2 a dropper. The dose is dependent on the weight. That will give you an idea of how many milligrams a day. The usual directions seem to be to use two times a day. Having read that the efficacy only lasts several hours, this did not make sense to me so I divided it up by four. This coincided with the appearance of my knee pain and inflammation so I take 1/4 of daily dose about every 4 hours. This works for me. I use both under the tongue drops and a topical gel. I use Cryotherapy Hemp Extract by Natures Script. Fortunately it appears that the dosing is not super critical.

You need to know the size of the bottle (say 30 ml), the amount of cbd in the bottle (say 1000 mg). Usually a full dropper is 1 ml, so divide the 30 ml into the 1000 mg and you get 33 mg per dropper. I take about 1/3 of a dropper (around 11 mg) before bed. People can take between 5 and 30 or more. Just start low and see what works. Hope that helps. Carol

Do you still take CBD oil and at what time and how much? Does it help you with tremors.

I still use it nightly with melatonin. I’m taking about 16 mg in a dropper and 2.5 mg melatonin. I just ordered the Charlotte’s Web cbd/melatonin gummies to try for sleep. I would say it helps with my tremor 60% of the time. I’ll let you know about the CW gummies.

Do you sleep all night and what medications are you taking? Such as BP meds or Parkinson’s meds.

Usually. Not always. I take heart rate meds at night for afib. Low dose of Zebeta and flecainide. I’m taking Selegiline for PD. I quit C/L a month ago.
