Back in the decade of the '70's it started to become popular to promote the concept of Organic farming. At that time I was attending a highly reputed agricultural university, where I learned that the well-respected professors, teaching the diverse agriculture courses, insisted that there was absoutely no nutritional or healthful difference between organically grown and non-organically grown produce.
So organic farming was touted to be merely a scheme, a conspiracy to get more money for inferior quality goods. Yet today, almost a half century later there seems to be a vastly greater and a growing preference among shoppers for organically grown foods, as we see the emergence of a more educated, health conscious society.
Conspiracy is defined as a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful, or an agreement between two or more persons to commit a crime at some time in the future. Unfortunately, many, if not most, conspiracies are dismissed as “theories”, thus neutralized, and in essence “invisiblized” in the minds of the people, and those who promote them are often marginalized and demeaned as “nuts”.
It has been my experience, however, to discover that all-too-often, the greatest difference between those labeled “conspiracy theorists” and those who label them as such, is that the former have spent huge amounts of time and effort in research of the issues, and the latter, having been seduced by public opinion, do just enough research to qualify themselves as members of the 'group logic'.
At the time I was somewhat involved in the health and nutrition industry, and had the opportunity of attending various National Health Federation conventions, where I encountered many knowledgable and like-minded people, as well as a few who were “out to make a buck”.
When you take into consideration the multi-billions of dollars spent over the years, for insecticides, herbacides, chemical fertilizers, etc., it is easy to understand the reasons that those influences on the mainstream of society should label the organic movement as a conspiracy. By such labeling they were merely doing what had to be done in order to protect their sources of income.
But in reality the conspiracy was on the other side, as those “in the Know” who continued to promote and provide the carcinogens to the trusting agronomists, combined together to ensure the continued use of their poisons (such as Round Up), regardless of the consequences on public health. Who knows what percentage of those suffering from Parkinson's today can link their current health problems to such practices.
Another perfect example of the detrimental effect of readily dismissal of alleged conspiracies is the modern pharmaceutical industry, which was founded in the 1860's when a farmer named Rockefeller conspired with fellow cohorts to sell bottled raw petroleum, called Nujol, on the yokels as a cure for cancer. Shortly thereafter he was listed as a physician, and thus began the founding of the vast Rockefeller empire.constantinereport.com/what-...
Today, that drug industry does at least ten billion dollars a year in business, selling many equally worthless drugs, often causing greater harm than good. But those whistle blowers against the controlling and seducing activities of that industry are generally dismissed as conspiracy theorists, because of the blind faith of the 'group mentality'. However, not an hour passes, when you cannot see warnings and law suits against the macabre effects of a growing number of these drugs on national TV.
Or how about the government conspiracy against the downwinders?

I could go on and on disclosing conspiracy facts that have become relegated as 'theories' or 'urban legends'. However, the reality is that virtually all the controlling national and international enterprizes, not to mention many of the local activities are controlled by such secret combinations. It appears to me that the ultimate goal of the participants is to eliminate all of those “useless eaters” by gradually taking control of their health through food and drug therapies, etc. And those who dismiss all these conspiracies as no more than theories promoted by 'nut cases', must take some responsibility for their abiding success.
