I started thinking maybe CBT could actually help treat physical illnesses. Maybe I equate CBT with Denial. But I am taking a shot to see if CBT can alter my reality.

I found this: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in treating a wide range of health disorders cogbtherapy.com/cbt-for-hea...

CBT for Cardiovascular Disease

CBT for Chronic Pain

CBT for Gastrointestinal Disease and IBS

CBT for Diabetes and Weight Loss

And this: Research Shows Cognitive Behavioral Therapy May Help with Physical Illnesses behavioralhealthflorida.com...

"In study after study, CBT has been shown to be effective in treating these emotional and behavioral disorders. Researchers who want to understand the relationship between the human mind and body have started exploring how CBT can impact physical ailments as well. These early studies show that CBT could be part of a treatment plan for ailments like diabetes, chronic stress, insomnia, and pain."

I'm not paying a therapist. That first site has a guide :) A Course in CBT Techniques: A Free Online CBT Workbook cogbtherapy.com/free-online...

I liked your advice to can your Dr if they JUST AREN'T GETTING IT!!. I fired three before l found one that I was comfortable. and confident in. I'm in my 18th year. JMO, we are not any closer to finding a cure than we were 50 or 100 years ago. Just because this is a major problem world wide, doesn't mean medical professionals share their notes with others. The one who unlocks this mystery will at least be made a saint or be crowned a king.

The major drug companies naturally are heavily invested for a drug cure.

Sorry Bolt my dyskenesia is kicking in big time! Just glanced at a discussion that is incredibly interesting. You are in it. BOLT YOU CAN TAKE TASIGNA TO THE BANK. IVE WRITTEN SEVERAL POSTS. READ UP. I'LL JOIN WHEN I AM ABLE!!

I agree. We know that placebo & nocebo apply to medications so I think it’s reasonable to hypothesise that the act of diagnosis confers a psychological effect.

I just finished an Audio book by Dr. Joe Despenza , Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. It was recommended on HU. My humble interpretation - Thought is energy, and you can change reality (outcomes) by minding your thoughts to create change. It is Quantum Physics. I am listening to it again. Prayer is an example of this mind set. It has lessons in manifestation.

I love it. I will find a way to get this without an Audible subscription.

I have been studying up on Quantum and reality: youtu.be/gwkCXjRn2NA

I love these discussions - seriously. When I suggest binaural beats, tapping, earthing, meditation.... people think I'm mad. It's so nice to have a tribe here.

Now that I am well into the back 9, I am very curious as to what happens after I close my eyes for the last time. Hoping quantum physics can keep me going into the beyond.

My tai chi instructor uses a boom-box and tapping along meridians. I don't know whether it's helping me but it's fun.

This really intrigues me. I maybe could trace back some extreme stress events that occurred prior to diagnosis and then even more after diagnosis. I have been thinking that I need to deal with some issues that are on a loop in my brain. CBT has been recommended to me by a close personal friend that has had great success with the therapy. Worth trying.
