My husband started Ambroxol cough syrup a couple of weeks ago, and I noticed he doesn't try to clear his throat any more. . . who knows. . .

MUCOSOLVAN. It's not available in the US. It's available in Europe over the counter.

Hi Connie. Its name is MUCOSOLVAN, but it's not available in the US. My sister sent it to me which is available in Europe.

This stuff is unusually good at breaking down and thinning up phlegm. Very interesting chemical, not similar at all to the usual antihistamine-types of cough medicine (eg dextromathorphan), very interesting. Keep us posted!

Thanks for the above information Ian . I am really interested in how this cough med and it’s contents differed from NAC which also has similar effect on respiratory issues.

I was told about NAC from my brother who bought it in a cough preparation in France and he told me about it as I suffer from asthma and colds and coughs. I did some research on it and found it may help with PD.

My husband who has PD seemed to be frequently coughing with a non productive cough and taking NAC completely stopped it. He’s been taking it for about 8 months.

Just been googling and both these products are involved in helping with respiratory issues.

NAC is also a precursor to glutathione.

My husband still takes it as it seems to be a popular supplement to help with Parkinson’s. So we ll keep going with it.

Dr. Mischley asked my husband to stop NAC and start liposomal Glutathione.
