Agreed - availability and cost very dependent on your location. Amazon.de seems to have a variety of suppliers too (and English language options :))

My recent ambroxol order is being held at U S Customs and they requesting that fill out 3 forms. 1. Personal medication form ** only 90 days worth medication is allowed. And complete name and address of manufacture. Form 2. Doctors note or prescription of the 90 supply of medicine. Form 3. Proof of citizenship and copy of passport. Also a statement about ambroxol is not FDA approved.

I have already received many orders over the pass 8 months without issues. Hoping this is a random situation. I may switch it up a bit with new delivery location and different customer name. Anyone else experience this.

Where did you order it from? It happened to me when I ordered B1 vials from Germany. However, I was told by customs that it is a prescription form of B1 and hadn't doctor's prescription at that time.

Bought 1kg of ambroxol from a "Bionique Pharma" in India a couple of weeks ago, can recommend. They were the cheapest I could find on Indiamart, at US$450 including delivery to the UK - others were asking $670+ for the same. They accept Western Union money transfer or direct to bank, I have an account with Wise so used that to send direct. Reasonable painless, good customer service, very snappy on the e-mails, and postage time was just 4 days with DHL. No problems with UK customs, it was labelled corrected as ambroxol hcl, and no queries on the stated price either.....

Now hope it works on my Mum with MSA! I might package off some of it and sell on ebay though, since 1kg is kinda excessive - like all the companies that I queried, 1kg was their MOQ. Much lower prices for higher volume, if you want a 25kg drum that is :).

Oh, I'm creating capsules at appropriate weights, even the starting dose of 60mg is a bit unpleasant to drink down with apple juice, so I expect 400mg would be vile. I bought a bunch of size 3 empty capsules, a very fine funnel, a scale with 0.001g resolution, and then 3d printed a tiny tray to hold the capsules! Fill the empty space with sugar, coconut flour, etc, might be unnecessary but I figured being too light could cause problems. Fiddly but not that bad. I'll need larger capsules in a few weeks I expect, but they are very cheap.

Apologies for the very late reply - yes, it is effective, IMO, but has it's complexities. Wrote a big long post about it, check my bio, you should be able to find it pretty easily. Unfortunately, there are issues in terms of actual brain damage the longer the condition continues, and ambroxol cannot do much to recover that. At least, I would say so far, longer term use with other supplements may slowly improve things, not sure.
