Lately been feeling my left leg stiffen while walking to the point of dragging my foot after a particularly active day. It stiffened up last night, not in the calf but whole leg would not relax. Had to get up and walk on it to make it stop and it was as painful as a contraction or cramp could be. Leg has stiffened a few times with the ankle turning inwards while walking. Up until now I've had no rigidity except stiffness in the core of my body affecting digestion and swallowing. Also head, neck and face feel stiff daily. Just something new I guess. Is this something others have experienced?

Hi,
I feel these symptoms too, when my medication is wearing off,or whenever I exercise very hard. It may be muscle dystonia,or a mixture of rigidity and dystonia.
I thought of dystonia too. Face, neck, head and stiff face were thought to be dystonia by the neuro but I wondered about the stiffness during swallowing and digestion and if dystonia can affect all of that. Levodopa seems to help. Thanks for the reply!
