Started a structured workout program this week, today will be my 3rd day, heres what it looks like:
Walk 0.75 miles - - 15 minutes(HS Track)
Stationary bike - - 30 minutes (increase tension every week)
Aerobic step 10 inch height - - 50 reps (add 25 reps a week)
35 lbs Iron hand weights - - 3 sets curls 12 reps each
20 minutes after the workout my right arm was stiff and in pain for the next 6 hours fkin horrible...going to have to take it easy on the arms.. it was the most annoying feeling I've had in a while with also the crawling skin sensation in my arm and right leg....that feeling drives me insane, feels like an itch under the skin that cant be scratched,,, 8(
Was also a wanna be rock-star a few years back, singing lead in 3 tribute bands, my physical therapist keeps telling me, why should i give you boring throat exercises todo,, why dont you start singing again, sooo last 2 days i have dusted off my 100+ set list and sang 15 rock tunes last 2 days, getting the dust off the cords, been about 6 years since i played out singing 35 tunes a night, but i still got it 8) maybe ill look for another band, but i do shake(tremors) like hell when singing, seems any excitement or stress good or bad starts bad tremors in arms and right leg....
What a lifes sentence we've been given...
God Speed!

I think that you have gone back to singing is TERRIFIC.
I do NOT have PD. I was the mom/caretaker for my son...first diagnosed with PD and later changed to PSP. He was a free lance bass player.
I do NOT have PD but do exercises. I find for myself best to start off slow and then increase each week. I am 79 years old and do a 3 mile walk, five days a week.....
Exercise is better than no exercise....but even for the healthy there are aches and pains.
thank you for the kind word.... Joy... very true all our bodies break down no matter how good you treat your body......same as with PD ,,,PD, like death gets the last word... 8)
When I finally started a concerted effort to do more cardio and weight-lifting, my tremor and restless "foot" worsened. Figured out that I needed to add some Sinemet ( 1/2 of 25/100) prior to exercising, in addition to my Rytary. Someone on here said "exercise can blow through the dopamine that's on hand - you may need more". I sure found that to be true
I have exact probs, started working out with 35 lbs dumb bells, guess i did a few to many reps, about 20 minute after arm workout my right arm started to stiffen and lock up at the elbow and my right hand twisted inwards, scared the crap out of me when I could not open a water bottle with my right hand. right shoulder also started to knot up. Eventually after about 3 hours the arm and shoulder released. I also find when i do my cardio with stationary bike or step aerobics or walking theres a point in the workout were right leg and arm get hit with severe tremors and stay for a few hours....
If you are not used to excersise or sing it is to big a step up. Start with walking half hour a day snd singin 1 song. When that is no problem you put on 5 min training. And 1 song until that is no problem.
It might take you 3 month before you are hitting 1 hour of training and 5 songs..but that is better. That is how people are healing around the world
thank you so much Shaun for your sound advice and direction, I will put forward a regiment desinged by your outline. I have nothing to loose at this point, for if I am absent from the body I will be present with the Lord...its a win win out come 8) GODSPEED!
I have a chiropractor I've been going to for a long time, he is familiar with PD techniques ... but would love to take a look at the link, when you get a chance, thx a bunch..
