I've been doing meditation following Dr. Joe dispenza and feeling great no more anxiety, I haven't taken a muscle or anxiety pill for 2 weeks, my smell has improved. Today I wanted to see what It would feel like to be off sinemet/entacopone. Well took pills at 6:30 am and went with out until 2PM. I felt great and did several meditations, tremors came on and slight Dystonia in calves and feet, but I had botox in them so I can handle it much better no pain. I went 4 halfs hours and my Dystonia I felt was almost gone. and then I tried opening up my pinal gland meditation, I felt a weird sensation, and my right side of my face was scrunching upwards and right side of lip. Maybe Dystonia. Well I was a little worried so I gave in to 2 cardopa/levadopa/ 1 entacopone. Dystonia kicked in harder right hand feels weak. But my right hand and foot always gives out and feels like it's not there when off period is on. Had nerves tested in right hand at Neuro dr yesterday he said I have a little bit of carpal tunnel in right hand. He asked if it tingles I said no, but feels weak as does my right leg. He didn't say anything about leg, but I will be getting my legs tested next week. The right side is where my shoulder injury is and makes my shoulder pull forward a bit, I hurt it digging in the garden, nothing serious, it used to ache a lot, and especially when I ate night shade vegetables. My head seems to want to tilt towards the right went resting. Maybe time to see a chiropractic. Ok sorry, back being off pills so took pills and I felt kinda depressed feeling, Dystonia, its 3:15, no tremor can walk but slightly dizzy upon standing, and legs feel kinda week. Maybe I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks.
Experiment on my self.: I've been doing... - Cure Parkinson's
Experiment on my self.
Instead of trying to go completely without, maybe reducing the dose and/or stretching out the times between doses? A few people here have reported having a really good day with little to no levodopa then the second or third day they crash.
I have, and my left foot goes back to walking on toes and tremor as well. Which at 5 years no meds just natural mucuna and other dopamine building l-tyrosine 5 htp. aminos green tea extract, I think maybe the l-tyrosine could have made me on edge a bit. I should have taken more mucana wasn't working or not crossing blood brain barrier, I was getting stiff and very nervous tensions. Also I'm pretty sure my left foot turns inward now and my left hand will clench , from to much dopamine in the system. Thank you.
My left foot turns in and my left hand clenches constantly while I am "on." I literally feel your pain.
When I looked up side effects of going cold Turkey off pills, ?
Do not stop taking levodopa and carbidopa without talking to your doctor. If you suddenly stop taking levodopa and carbidopa, you could develop a serious syndrome that causes fever, rigid muscles, unusual body movements, and confusion. Your doctor will probably decrease your dose gradually.Jun 15, 2018.
I had no fever or confusion but did unusual movements in right side of face. I'm pretty sure I have some kinda nerve inflammation on right side felt pain in wrist and leg an it's much weaker feeling and gets colder in that hand and foot, also I noticed when I smile my face on that side doesn't go up as high as the left side of smile. I don't feel that on my left side where the Pd symptoms first appeared. My neck feels tighter and shorter on the right side where my shoulder injury is.
Ha! I just did a similar experiment on myself! Not after meditation (I have taken a Dispensa workshop), but after a week at the European Parkinson's Therapy Centre. I found myself forgetting to take my c/l so often as I was winding my way back from Europe that I decided to try letting go of it altogether. I had four lovely drug-free days and now I'm tremoring a lot! Fun while it lasted!
Wow, I felt good being off until my face was scrunching, maybe Dystonia. Do you get Dystonia, and what meds are on? Thank you, Maria
Did you find that your symptoms improved in Europe? Where did you go?
I’ve only listened to Dr Dispenza so far only a couple of times but I found it interesting that he talked about a group of Pd patients that for several days were away from their usual environment and their symptoms really improved a lot but then when they returned home they all returned to their usual physical state, why is that?
Greg Braden, the missing gospel of Thomas was left out of the bible, I have been watching his YouTube videos, very interesting I'm a believer in Jesus, I don't go to church, but their is a high power, our maker, which in my heart tells me it's our heavenly farther and Jesus. I've been getting better I've let go of my anxiety fear of past and future, living in the moment, I don't have to take my anxiety pills anymore, I'm becoming a better person, Seeing more clearly the negative things I say sometimes, I'm trying to change and I feel stronger as a person. I'm not going to give into this disease, it will not take me down. I strongly feel STRESS GOT ME INTO THIS STATE. We can do this be inspired, we can heal. Maria
I have read that this is because the brain is forced to make new neuronal connections under such circumstances. I found that whenever I went to Europe, my symptoms would vanish or diminish substantially. In Paris, in particular, it disappeared completely- for 3 days!
That makes sense, thanks for replying! I think the change of environment seeing new things and maybe to some extent getting our minds off ourselves and having new and exciting experiences as you said make new neuronal connections and maybe more dopamine, just a thought.
That’s wonderful I’m so glad you feel better. I have a strong faith too in Jesus and feel stress has been a big part of my PD also. I will check out his videos, they sound inspiring, thank you!!😊
