I don't like crowds now, in fact I find myself getting anxious about having dinner with more than just another couple. I try and avoid going out but sometimes there's no backing out. Is there any kind of mild some med people use to help with occasional anxiety?

Are you at your best at dinner time? Not me! I do better in the morning until mid afternoon, so I plan lunches out with friends instead of dinner. I get to socialize and rest afterwards. If a late event is unavoidable I rest all afternoon and I have permission from my MDS to take an extra half Sinemet. Can you ask your partner and the others to schedule when you feel most energetic and positive?

you're so right and we do tend to have friends come for lunch instead but we've got a family wedding coming up with several days either side with lots of family here.

The hardest task for me is to come clean with my family and ask for, or even just take necessary modifications to the schedule. It means admitting that I’m declining which I resist way past my comfort zone sometimes.

In your case it may mean being present for the wedding but napping during the day, even with a house full of people. I have stayed in a nearby hotel when visiting family with small children so that I had a quiet place to chill out when necessary.

Benzodiazepines can help but be cautious to use only in situational events as they are addictive

Bach flower remedy they have drops and lozenges both. The drops seem to really help. Absolutely no side effects. The placebo effect really soars. Just kidding, they really do work.
