Nerve test by my Neurologist

I had my nerves test in my arms, It shows I've got slight carpal tunnel in both hands, but my right hand and leg is feeling weaker to me. Test is done by sticking skinny needle in my nerves hurts when he goes deep. Well now I've been having nerve pain where he inserted needle and tingling numbness in pinky/ring finger also some shooting pain down my leg. I told nurse practitioner she didn't really respond, brushed it aside. Hopefully it will go away, it's seems my nerves are aggravated and inflamed. Legs are being tested this Wednesday, I might hold off, if this hasn't gone away. Has Anyone else had this done.

I have had my right arm done and was scheduled to have my leg done. The nerve pain afterward from the test lasted 3 weeks and I cancelled the test for my leg. In my arm they found ulnar nerve inflammation. It doesn’t bother me anymore and it was right before the pd diagnosis. I had complained about a tremor and numbness.

No. The test showed there was a problem with my ulnar nerve but it is fine now. But I had considerable nerve pain from the test that lasted for several weeks.

Lol. I've had 5 emg/ncs, tracking progression of my ALS. They are painful, like childbirth. I think you're spot in with the witch doctor comment!

I hand an EMG about 15 yrs ago & I don't remember having any side effects after the test. They normally do an EMG to rule out any other illnesses before they diagnose you with PD.
