Just wondering if anyone in London, Uk has had a consultation with Lucille Leader. She works at a private hospital in Highgate London offering advice on how to get your Parkinson's medicine to work optimally. She offers a range of services for a sum of £700, which includes at least 2 consultations and testing for allergies/nutritional deficiences.

1. When to Take Drugs in Relation to Food

2. Biochemical Tests

3. Nutritional Supplements

4. Bowel Function

5. Diet and Weight Control

6. Dysphagia and Malnutrition / Malabsorption

7. Lifestyle

Not all of these are particularly relevant to my husband anyway? Just wondering if it's worth the £700.

There is also the London Bioclinic in Wandsworth that offers nutritional tests a package, but they charge about £3000, so that makes the £700 not seem so costly.

I worked with Lucille between 2010, when I was diagnosed, till 2013. She is useful but at London prices! She is kind and caring but bossy, possibly because she's from South Africa! If you work with her she takes control of everything. For some people this is what they like but I'm an independent sort so I decided to take all her good advice and do my own thing. I'm doing extremely well for nine years on and some of that is down to her. Actually I thought she'd retired by now!

Thank you that's helpful. Can you tell me if you were on medication at the time you were working with her? My husband's on Mucuna, Lucille knows that. But I wonder how adaptable she might be? Or do you think she might want to take over and put him on a different medication.

I'm talking to myself really, but would be interesting to know what you think. Thank you.

Hi billyroca

My husband has also been recommended to go to Lucille Leader (if she is still practising) so have been very interested in these posts. He is not on any medication but he thinking about starting Mucuna, so its good to know this is ok with her. Our nutritionist who recommended her said she wouldn't take clients who are on medication.

Lucille is a big fan of mucuna, so no problem there.

Hi! Just wanted to check if you have continued seeing her and how do you feel about her protocol if it was helpful?

I was looking for a dietician to see if working with someone, although Im a vegan, is better since I read about different diets out there (ketogenic, serotonin, dopamine, bullet, etc) and want to get their input amongst other information.

Really appreciate your thoughts
