My daughter takes calm 2 times a day ( a.m. and p.m.) which has magnesium in it. I’m wondering if she needs more magnesium and that it might help with the pain she has in her legs especially the left one. If so, what type.....

Yes, both my daughter 26 and I have taken it in the past; neither of us has PD but we both get leg cramps and migraines. It does work, and something like 90% of the population is magnesium deficient. Husband has PD but will not take supplements, feels they aren't "manly" and he can tough it out.

My acupuncturist suggested for me to drink at night to help with sleeping. It's magnesium citrate. Magnesium helps with muscle pains and cramping. Apparently this form of magnesium will give you diarrhea if you take too much, so it's self-correcting. I'm not too fond of the taste; I take magnesium taurate in a capsule form, 400 mg a day, instead.
If she develops diarrhea, discontinue until you speak with your doctor
