You can try adding an MAO-B inhibitor such as Azilect or selegiline and see if it reduces your need for levodopa medication.
Lightly dip a cottonball in rubbing alcohol and smell it. I tried this tip to help with nausea when I began PD meds. Seems strange but it helped me.
Maybe you should drop the Entacapone.
Domperidone is very effective though you will probably have to have an ECG to check it won't affect your heart . After a month or so the nausea may wear off. I find if i take medication on an empty stomach it's much more likely to cause nausea. Have a piece of toast or similar carbohydrate before taking the medication but don't eat anything containing protein as this may stop the medication working.
wear a motion sickness band; costs about $10
Domperidone worked wonders for me. My neurologist gave me an RX for a Canadian pharmacy. I took it for a week, and my nausea disappeared and hasn't returned 8 years later.
Thank you everyone for all your advices. I really appreciate it. I am so happy that i find this group and being part of it. God bless you all.
Happy New Year!!!!
I swear by domperidone.
I only get nausea if I over medicate my Sinemet, it is a fine line, what dosage are you on ?.
I take Trimethobenzamide 300MG. It helps me. It is expensive, though.
Ginger works for morning sickness. Worth a shot least it natural.
Ginger capsules help me with nausea.
