ANYONE HEARD ABOUT THE NEW 2 HR. DBS?

ANYONE TRIED THE NEW 2 HR. ASLEEP DBS BY DR. DAVID VANSICKLE?HE HAS BEEN PERFORMING THIS SURGERY FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS IN LITTLETON, COLORADO. IT SOUNDS BETTER THAN THE AWAKE DBS AS FAR AS ACCURACY AND TYPICAL 4-6 HR SURGERY TIME. HE USES THE ABBOTT SYSTEM THAT HAS 8 ELECTRODES INSTEAD OF 4. I LIVE 1000 MILES AWAY. TRYING TO GET UP THE NERVE. CANT DO AWAKE BECAUSE OF CONSTANT PAIN. LOTS OF PLACES DO ASLEEP DBS BUT IN MY STATE IT TAKES 7+ HOURS. DR.VANSICKLE, ALSO A BIO NEURAL ENGINEER DEVELOPED HIS TECHNIQUE USING BOTH AN MRI, CT SCAN AND ROBOTICS. ANY ADVICE???

I too thought sleep DBS be the way to go. But, that was several years back he spoke the PD group about 90 min. That next week I had to see my Nero, who comes to town. I told him about Dr. Vansickle he said he heard about and told it wouldn’t work! And told I sent the best Dr. in my state for DBS. I think it was very nice for Dr . Vansickle to take time out is busy schedule a take ? . He seems to know what’s he’s doing. Back then, I think he said it was about half time. I replied on one of your older posts about DBS . You always see or hear the great success ones, and on the ones that didn’t go well they don’t they don’t talk about that one .Like I said in your older post, ask allot of ? And try to talk to people that it done! Good luck with DBS journey

No, I don’t think it would help me. I think now l couldn’t Pass the memory test. I just keep trying to fight it exercising and healthy diet. At this stage of my Parkinson’s it’s hard to stay ahead of the disease.
