Story time - Thiamine therapy

In early 2015, at the persuasion of my husband I reluctantly agreed to see a well-regarded and famous Chinese fortuneteller, who was visiting Atherton, CA at the request of the wealthy Chinese community.

You should know, that I am a pragmatic thinker and this all seemed like hocus-pocus to me. At the request of an interpreter, I provided birthdate details, and then sat patiently for next half hour learning my fate.

The fortuneteller, began by telling me two things. You have one other sibling, and you are ill and will be “WELL” in late 2018.

Ah , I thought to myself, both of these statements were incorrect. Just that morning, as an avid cyclist, I had enjoyed riding my bike 25 miles. And, I had two siblings, a brother and sister. I looked at my husband smiling and reinforcing that this was as I said “hocus-pocus”. We continued, and I maintained the story in my head that this all was not real.

Two weeks later, at the young age of 57 my brother passed away suddenly, and the following month I began to see the first physical PD symptoms.

Fast-forward to February 2018. One evening, I was walking up the stairs heading to bed and a voice came into my head and said “the disease is leaving your body”. I stopped, looked around, and thought to myself “who said that” that wasn't my voice, but then went off to bed. The next morning I woke up and said “the disease is leaving my body” and that has been my mantra ever since.

In April 2018, I stumbled upon HealthUnlocked and Dr. Constantini’s high dose vitamin B1 thiamine therapy. Thiamine has given me my life back, and as my husband says “it has given him his wife back”. Life for me is now about 94-95% of normal. Quite an improvement from a year prior to thiamine therapy, where my world had become small and limited. Now I do everything and go everywhere. I consider myself “WELL” just as the fortuneteller predicted. I didn’t say cured, but

“I AM WELL”.

So how do I feel about the famous fortuneteller now. I recently heard he’ll be back in Atherton, CA in early 2019. To be continued…

Constance, would you mind describing what kind of PD you have? Tremor dominant or balance and gait problems mainly? I have been on the B1 for several months different dosages and can't say I've noticed any improvement from it. I do not have the tremor although when my meds wear off I have a fine tremble when trying to do things. I also have a lot of pain when meds wear off. Thank you.

Enidah, i have a fine intermittent tremor and gait problems (leg drag) at times. no meds, just Mucuna and B1. I noticed good improvement with B1 early on but sort of feel like I've plateaued now. i think those on meds are less aware of the individual B1 benefits because the meds are working.

hi RoyProp....just dont want to go on FB at this time, thanks tho.

Constance,

I am a believer in that aspect of life! I hope we get to hear part two!

At 94~95% improved, you are right on up there with the best of the B-1 crowd and a member of the symptom #79 club, those who can sometimes forget they even have PD ! Congratulations!

Okay, Constance, you're back from Europe and Italy, huh? And it appears that the Thiamine B1 Therapy is helping? And you saw Dr. Constantini?

Ordered and received my first bottle of 500mg Tabs from Solgar, and will be initially dosing at 3g/day. See how that goes, and will adjust as necessary....

Still doing MMJ - edibles and Vape; as my tremors disappear entirely when using MMJ. (Disclaimer to those, other than Constance, reading this - AZ allows use of MMJ with a Medical Card issue by AZ Dept of Health Services.)

Keep us apprised about your positive progress, Constance! And share your next Fortune Teller episode, too, if you can...curiousity and the cat? Take care..........Glen aka

olehoss, always like to hear from you! Good luck with the B1. I just cut my dose to 1000mg daily after almost 7 months at 2mg. Had back pain and jitters, but now seems to be better. Not sure what it was. I'm going to stay on a lower dose for now, just curious.

Yes i visited Dr. C while in Italy. It was nice to meet him, but being well into the therapy the only other treatment he could recommend was Sinement, which i don't want to do at this time.

Lots to learn here, talk soon,

Constance

Interesting story. Does sound a bit like "hocus-pocus" as you say. Since I have high intuition (Sometimes know someone/stranger nearby will fall moments before they will fall), I keep my mind open to "hocus-pocus" stuff.

Good mantra, "I am well."

I enjoyed your story. I am taking the B-1 1500 mg mornings and 500 at bed time, for irritable bowel syndrome. And I've noticed that a tremor I have had for a few years is absent al long as I keep taking the B-1
