Fabulous confirmation of the importance of fasting and aerobic leg exercise for PD. I'm inspired to try a 24 hr fast weekly rather than the 14-16 hr daily fast that I already do.

But a mouse lines only 2 years, against 80 years for a human. Scaling up accordingly, a 24 hr fast for a lab mouse means, Rebtar, that you're looking at a 40-day fast. (Okay, just kidding.)

rebtar, have you been able to achieve a 24 hour fast and heavy been doing it for a few months? How do you feel about it?

No, i haven't done it yet. Have you?

No. I fast, usually 15 hours 5 days a week. Occasionally, I get up to 18 or 20 hours. I'm not confident the fasting 24 hours is worth it, i.e., a vast improvement over fasting for 5 days a week.

John Pepper should take note of the second item, where we are told

"The research shows that using the legs, particularly in weight-bearing exercise, sends signals to the brain that are vital for the production of healthy neural cells, essential for the brain and nervous system."

This helps to justify his enthusiasm for fast walking. Cycling is also good, but on level ground, or with a low resistance setting in a stationary bike, it evidently falls short on the side of "weight bearing."
