Thanks . . . informative . . . coincidentally, I started talking probiotics a few months back, and then added prebiotics . . . with research and thinking along the same lines of the posted article. Results thus far: my right hand no longer shakes, constipation has decreased, no longer need an afternoon nap, and I have more energy . . . it works for me . . . it might not for everyone else.

I have started on REG'ACTIVE.

it is promoted as glutathione producing lactobacillus fermentum ME-3.

I have not been on it for a month yet have not noticed any difference but will use my two boxes or two months

I should add that the products I am taking it's called detox and Liver Health if you check on Amazon it might be a little bit cheaper

Parkie . . . a detox is what got me to think about probiotics, albeit, I was looking for a detox for kidneys . . . keep me (us) informed of your results after you finish the two boxes. I will, however, check into the REG'ACTIVE though . . . thanks.

Hi vincea

What brand of pre & probiotics are you taking?

laglag, I use a probiotic from CVS (CVS Health Digestive Supplement- in a pink box), and the prebiotic brand is "Alive" - it can found in most grocery or vitamins shops it's a liquid fiber. Walmart and Amazon carries both the pre and pro supplements.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I've been using Align. It helps the small amount of constipation I have but it seems to make my tremor worse??

Align is great . . . same stuff . . . just different numbers. I'm sure constipation is PD related all the way - I have it too, well, had it. Since the pre/probiotics 'that' has loosened up better than 50%.

I also use from Swanson dr.Stephen Langer's ultimate 16 strain probiotics with trace minerals FOS.
