I’ve shared with my neurologist that I’m taking Mannitol and since she prescribed the Mirapex she knew I was on both. She was not concerned at all. There may be some study out there showing differently, but I’ve not seen any adverse effects of my having combined them and I’ve been on both for about 20 months.
Not any particular miraculous response, but I feel that the Mannitol has slowed progression of the overall disease especially stomach issues I’d felt prior to taking it. Many responses on Mannitol I’ve seen claim it gave them their sense of smell back, but mine hasn’t been altered to be significantly better. I also exercise regularly and am on sinemet, but my sinemet dose is only 2 times per day, rarely 3 times of 25/100 strength.
