Hi Folks...Have any of you undergone a reverse shoulder replacement? I am scheduled for one a week from today, and would like to know what to expect, what helps, and tips for a speedier recovery. I am SCARED! It’s my left shoulder...which is my tremor arm/frozen shoulder/arm I fell and broke last summer working in the garden. Needless to say, I’m a mess....physically AND MOSTLY, emotionally! My husband has terminal cancer, So I’m having to deal with that, too. Isn’t life GRAND?!?!?! Thanks for any advice or help you can give me.

Don't know this would apply, but it's a short article worth reading.
I had 2 reverse shoulder replacements 4 months apart. The first one was in December 2017 and the next one was in April 2018. My reason for having them was my neurologist telling me my pain was due to Parkinson's and to keep exercising rather than checking my shoulders which were slowly tearing. YouTube has a video of the shoulder replacement surgery if you want to watch. The most important thing for me was to find an anthesisologist who used a sensor in putting me under that allowed for a very quick awakening after the surgery. Both my surgeries went fine, my pain decreased and my motion increased. Good luck to you!
One question: Were your tremors a problem during your recovery periods? I’m only having my left shoulder done....my frozen shoulder/tremor arm/broken humerus arm. I have pretty constant tremors in that arm. You have given me confidence to face this surgery, if you had TWO within four months! THANK YOU for your encouraging words! ❤️😘
My recovery was no problem at all after the pain of having the torn rotator cups. remember that the anesthesiologist can make all the difference in the world by the technique he uses good luck to you and keep me updated after the surgery take care
