DBS post surgery fatigue
In a word.... No. I've been so much mor energetic since my DBS. However I'm still not normal. How's your programmer responding to your lethargy?
I have not had that problem, but you can read about my experience with DBS at

I hope this will help.
My DBS was little over a year ago, and, yes I am experiencing increased fatigue. However, I an 70 and ten years since diagnosis. I have been thinking that the trauma of the surgery itself takes a while for full recovery. Now, I am thinking age and the stage of my disease probably contribute. I agree that we should ask about this at our next tune-up. Best of luck.
When having DBS at such an early age, what prognosis are they giving you?
Hi. I had DBS surgery last October. I too was extremely tired for weeks after the surgery. DBS is INVASIVE surgery - it takes a good year to get past it's effects! My stamina has returned steadily, but slower than I had hoped. Nevertheless, I find myself more able to do normal activities now than just before the surgery. I'm out walking again - 1.5 miles most days - and feeling good. I can't go back to my job as an elementary school music teacher, but I am finding other activities to fill my time and challenge my mind. Don't worry - it will come back to you too. But the waiting IS difficult!
I have been told that it is early days yet so I am still optimistic that this fatigue will diminish. Good to get this message from people who have actually had the op.
