Dr Thomas Graboys, a prominent Cardiologist from Boston MA, had to quit his practice after being diagnosed with Parkinson's and dementia. Dr. Graboys wrote a book titled Life in the Balance. The book is about his struggle to preserve his dignity and desire maintain a relationship with his family.

Dr Graboys condition was deteriorating. As his dementia advanced he begins to speculate about a time when he no longer felt that he could live with dignity. What would he do? He admits to contemplating The Dark Side. But then something happens. His meds are changed and he begins to improve.
