Are there any documented cures for PD?

Years ago I was Dx'd with MS but got over it. Then Dx'd with APS but got over it. Then Dx'd with DVT but got over it. Then Dx'd with multiple adenomas in my liver but got over it. Then 100% obstruction of the LAD coronary artery but surgery cured it.

I only ask because I noticed this morning that my left hand tremor is gone. The tremor is/was my only PD symptom.

Good question.

Lot's of claims

The only person who I know of who seems to have legitimately become well is Mr. Coleman (crewmanwhite) and he says he is not cured, but well.

plus a few who do not claim cure but seem to be staving off serious symptoms through various methods most of them involving exercise, qi gong, walking, etc. - thinking of Bianca Molle and it seems to involve a complex daily routine

Tremors can very well come and go , but eventually you get more 'come' than go ...... I had DBS about 6 months ago , wouldnt say its cured me , but its helped enormously

My friend Chris Lacey before and after had intense scroll saw work. Two films are 18? Months apart and he’s unmedicated in both.

You were diagnosed with PD and the only symptom was tremors? One can have tremors without having PD, known as essential tremors or idiopathic tremors.

It was a resting tremor which is specific to PD but not essential tremors. Also the doc did muscle testing that pointed toward PD.

Pezo mentioned tremors can come and go. I wondered why the tremor would suddenly cease after several years. The only recent change was the doc recommended magnesium. I started magnesium oxide 400mg every evening a week ago. That said, this morning there seems to be an echo of a tremor, if that makes any sense. Now I wish I had videoed my hands yesterday.

Ok. You got all areas covered (resting, essential, PD ...)

I went to a dentist for the first time in three years. I had a cleaning and they mentioned my teeth were very good. Then the dentist checked and asked about the missing molar. I told him a horse kicked me in my face; Kinda thing happens when dealing with a colicky horse.

What does a DAT scan actually measure?

Thank you so much for that very on point and concise explanation. I was wondering why it is so limited. Now I know, it's basically a yes/no test. i wonder how many folks here have had it, and whether they believe it was worth the trouble.

Yes, I saw an article about spontaneous remission over years. The authors believed it occurred because the person had started a regular meditation practice and this had allowed a cure. This was their speculation. He did not require medication and was aymptomatic.

Years ago I took meditation classes. The point was stressed that even experts who meditated 18 hours a day for 30 ears still died of cancer or similar diseases.
