I was diagnosed with RA and Fibromyalgia a year ago. I took ARAVA for two months and it was the worst period of my life as it heat up the flares with other side effects.I quit all the medications yet I was on antidepressants and it was fine.o noticed that iam fine in winter and it get all worse on summer.and can't distinguish if my bone pain is due to RA or Fibromyalgia. Iam trying to be always in good mood to avoid such flares.yet I have an obsession about progression yet I prefer to use NSAID during a flare rather than using RA medications.any recommendations? ? Or those are the delusions of ANXIETY? ?

Thanks all for ur support

I'd look at dietary solutions to help you recover.

My favourite is the paddison program, which I am obsessed with for how much good it can do for people. Just google it perhaps and look for Clint Paddison's TedX talk or indeed my own story as at Feb this year. youtube.com/watch?v=TxGWZ6h...

Thanks Andy..I shall follow

Hi Maioia - I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I think it could honestly be either, and the best would be to get back to your GP. If you are not under control that is an issue.

There are other medications you can try and there are alternatives such as diet that you can look at (Paddison is only one. You can also try Keto, Paleo, Vegetarian, Vegan, etc. There is a plethora of options out there...). Progression, if it is RA, is serious and will be permanent. As you probably know there is no cure for either one, although remission is possible.

NSAIDs are really good, if you can take them, for the pain control and to calm your inflammation. I wish I could take them, but they tear me up after a couple of days. I would think they would be beneficial for calming or at least controlling a flare a little bit.

Anxiety is, unfortunately, normal for these diseases. Try to step back a little and figure out what is best with your doc if you can. Not doing anything is really not a good choice with RA. I did that for four years and really did well just with herbs. But when several things happened at once that just kicked it into high gear.

I wish you luck, and send gentle hugs your way.
