Hi Pammi!

Hope you are doing well.

I started Yuflyma in the end of April/2024. I switched from Enbrel after being on Enbrel for over 20 years. Enbrel lost its efficacy after so many years and due to increasing symptoms I had no choice but to switch medications.

I’m not sure if Yuflyma is working yet. I had to start prednisone because I didn’t get much relief when I started Yuflyma. My doctor is hoping after 3 months I will receive the full benefits of Yuflyma but if it doesn’t work he has already recommended a new medication. I am weaning off prednisone slowly and will find out if Yuflyma is working for me.

I was also very concerned about side effects. I haven’t experienced any side effects with Yuflyma except for full sinuses after my first injection. My sinuses cleared after a couple of weeks and did not return.

I can keep you posted if that helps.

Take care,

Sandra

Hi Pammi,

I also feel like I am being experimented on and worry about side effects. I would love to heal more naturally. I have seen a functional medicine practitioner in the past and hope to work with her again soon.

I also had a steroid injection before starting Yufluma and prior to taking prednisone. The injection gave me some much needed relief of symptoms for a short time.

Right now I am not experiencing any symptoms of RA because of prednisone. It will take me another month to completely wean off prednisone and that’s when I will know if Yuflyma is working for me.

I wish you continued healing and relief of your symptoms.

Hi Pammi,

I’m so sorry to hear that you are experiencing the worst symptoms in your illness. I hope you are feeling some relief after the steroid injection. Please be gentle with yourself during this time. Rest and accept any help that can be offered to you by family/friends. Have hope that a medication will work for you. You and your doctor will find the treatment plan that your body will respond to so you can be free of pain. There are many treatment options that are available that will help. Wishing you rest and healing.

Sandra
