Hi, has anyone been prescribed Budenofalk 2mg rectal foam for Ulcerative colitis? I have been given this at my hospital appt to help with the inflammation/ diarrhoea/ bleeding. Just wondering if it caused anyone any side effects or if it helped in anyway? I have a 4 week supply but I have concerns with it being steroid after reading up on it and the side effects. Any advice greatly appreciated

You should be fine, keep in mind the foam is topical & will not be anything at all like taking oral steroids. In other words, one is topical, the other is systemic. Good luck, I hope it works well for you.

I found it to be fine and helpful and beneficial with no noticeable side effects. Btw it is the same stuff they give at the other end of the digestive tract for asthma. As far as i'm aware it is one of the safer medications out there. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon.
