Arm pain months after iv

Had ct scan with iv contrast dye about 5 months ago which leaked and caused me to have a swollen very painful arm this all went down after a week or so. I did have to have the iv in the vein higher up in my arm as they are all very tiny.

Since then I noticed that when I lifted anything heavy my arm would start to hurt again no swelling or redness just a feeling of aching and bruised with a slight warm feeling inside after a week this went but over last weekend I again lifted something very heavy and the arm pain has again returned it at the top of the arm and goes down slightly to the wrist it again is not swollen or discoloured in any way but it feels slightly heavy aches and is simular to a muscular pain with a on and off warm sensation.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this months following having a iv with contrast that caused a collasped vein and swelling upon the contrast dye going in.

Is it something that may take a long time to heal or could their be some long lasting damage to the nerves, tendons or muscle area ?

I do have a gp appointment this week but any advice in the meantime would be great.
