CBD Oil

Hello all. Wondering if anyone has experience of CBD oil.

Reading research in various journals suggest there’s a positive impact on reducing inflammation particularly for Crohn’s disease; albeit based on limited research having been undertaken.

Anyone have any experience of impact of CBD and if so how did they access the right type and the right amount?

Many thanks.

Just a quick article on over all dosing for holistic inflammation. I have used it and found it to work moderately for my bowel issues. Honestly they have so many CBD stores, they really act like pharmacists. It may be worth venturing to one for a visit.

I should say the number one addition to my med regimen was adding low dose naltrexone. It isn't used in the states much because it isn't a money maker, but is being used by Chron's and a few other autoimmune diseases. It blocks pain and also reduces inflammation. If you aren't familiar, it may be worth looking into!

Thank you. I find this particularly interesting, as it’s my second time hearing of LDN in as many days. I contacted a pharmacy yesterday to explore CBD/CBJ and they suggested LDN. My understanding is that it is an incredibly mild steroid. I’m particularly keen on avoiding long term damage from any short term inflammation.

No no! It is called low dose naltrexone. Naltrexone standalone is to help the side effects of alcohol or opioid withdrawal in higher doses. This is a micro dose of up to 5mgs a day. I have to get it made at a custom pharmacy but it is totally worth. Only one side effect is on sleep but people seem to overcome it quickly as the adapt. Technically it is I an opioid antagonist. So you can't be on a narcotic to use LDN as it would counteract with it to some degree. The one exception is tramadol...but it's the weakest of all narcotics. It blocks pain and lowers inflammation. Here is a good article from the NIH on it. Allowed me to lower my dose of methotrexate as it started to impact my liver. True life saver! I am allergic to all pain meds except Tylenol so LDN and Gaba have been a staple for me for all 5 of my autoimmune diseases. Yeah, 5! Totally worth a discussion with your doctor. I had to educate mine and now he has several patients on it with good experience. apparently very effective for MS and Chrons...or at least where I see the most articles.

This is very helpful. Thanks so much. I am going to pursue this now as it’s seems to be very effective with minimal if any side effects.

Wonder if you might want to explore Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy. Another treatment I’m hearing good things about as an anti-inflammatory .

Let's keep sharing! I'm not in any type of remission. I had't heard about the Hyperbaric Chamber but I guess in thinking about it, it makes some sense. I started at 3mgs LDN and we soon jumped to 5mgs. I hadn't had a formed stool in I don't know how long until I took this med!
