narrow stools

I would like to know if many others are experiencing narrow stools along with their other symptoms.

I believe it’s not a common symptom, but I think I would feel better if I know others have it as well.

I do too. Think it's probably due to the narrowing of the bowel.

Take care.

Hi. Ive suffered narrow stools for 20 years or more. My bowels took a turn for the worst 2 years ago and have been passing mucus.

Anyway i had a colonoscopy which showed nothing. Had a CT and it showed a narrowing a focal constriction in colon but i had colonoscopy done a few weeks before so they did not do another..

The consultants said this is normal on ct scans and narrow flat stools dont always mean anything as i found out having to go through a colonoscopy.

Hope this helps

Yes add another here! I think it's down to the inflammation as everyone else has said. 🙂

I refer to those as 'ribbon' stools. They only happen to me towards the end of a Chron's flare when the diarrhoea is settlng down. I eventually return to passing normal stools a week or so later.
