Following ileoceacal resection iv have been having issues with diarrhoea. Seems like it could be Bile acid malabsoprtion. Consultant wants to put me on medication, bile acid binders. Though I would rather have SeCHAT first of all to determine diagnosis and if BAM then if its mild or not. However consultant is refusing to refer based on his lack of confidence in test and his certainty that it would not be approved for funding. Can anyone help?
