I’m currently on infleximeb. I just wondered is it safe to get immunised. I have a letter from my GP inviting me for a flu jab. The last time I had it though I felt really ill with flu like symptoms for about 4 days. I will also need to be immunised for an upcoming holiday. Are all injections safe or is that a ridiculous question?

Yes do get the flu jab as biologics reduce your ability to fight infection and make you more susceptible to catching them. Only jabs that are not recommended are live vaccines
Hi, I’m on Humira and I’m booked in for my flu jab. I had it last year and was ok👌 We can’t have any live vaccines but the flu injection isn’t live. It’s your choice at the end of the day😁 I saw so many poorly people last year with the flu!! I work in a care environment and it spread like wild fire!! If it was me I’d rather be off colour a few days then off my feet for weeks🤷♀️Good luck with whatever you decide
