We would be in, if we didn't live in the States! A bit far for us to drive. Gayle
Sadly a little far for me also.
What a great Idea! I better reach the 5k mark in sunny Yorkshire first though. Hope it works though
I think it's a great idea to post and see if others are around or want to join in. Sadly I won't be able to because that's the day of my Run For Life in Hyde Park, so although I'll be in the right area I'll be busy (Also I can't run 10k, but y'know, I could have tried!)
Oh what a shame, 2 events happening in London on the same day!! Maybe if enough people want to do it we could still meet in the middle for a coffee x
That's a good idea! What time is the 10k, and where? I think I have to be in Hyde Park at 10am. It would be lovely to meet other c25k-ers in person!
Starting on Piccadilly outside The Guards & Calvary Club, runners will pass the new WW2 Bomber Command Memorial which was unveiled by HM Queen Elizabeth 11 in June 2012, two weeks prior to The British 10k London Run in Diamond Jubilee Olympic year with Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner as backdrop.
Runners will pass The Ritz, St. James's Palace, Trafalgar Square, the magnificent St. Paul's Cathedral, the unique London Eye, the worlds most famous clock Big Ben, the British Houses of Parliament, the historic Westminster Abbey before finishing on Whitehall (the portal of British Government) at the junction of Royal Horse Guards and Banqueting House after passing Downing Street (the official London residence of British Prime Ministers) and The Cenotaph, the national memorial to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.
Starts at 9.35 am. Ill prop stay in London on the night before as I'm in bucks x
I won't be doing either run! But I'm in London and coffee for Bastille day sounds like a lovely idea.
Great x
I'm in London but not sure I'm up for a proper 10k yet. Have my first 5k next Saturday and still having hip problems. Will see how I go though. A meet up for coffee afterwards sounds good.
Great, I'm sure it wouldn't matter if we run some walk some, I've only just done 5k myself so in being a little pre x
I'm running in the 10k for a charity who are planning an event afterwards so meeting up might be tricky. Good luck with the run & the training.
