Having had a break I re-started the programme at week 6, amazed that the fitness hadn't entirely disappeared. Today I got to W8R1. This is even better - I did the route that I worked out for the first time round - and it was too short! So I must be running faster. I am SO pleased with myself! Thank you Laura.

How long did you have off? I'm suffering with the same problem and I'm unsure where to start again.

3 months. I was so sure I'd have to start from scratch, but I went out for a run (well light jog) and managed 20 minutes without Laura. I was sure that if I had the structure of a c25k podcast I would do better, so I tried W5 which was easy, then decided W6 would be better - and it was. I should add to my crow that not only was that route too short, I was happy to keep running for another few minutes. I really do need the structure of the podcasts, just running to music wasn't enough.
