A bit of advice...

Annoyingly, life got in the way last week.

I've been following the plan religiously, and really enjoying it, and I made it to the end of Week 3 before life managed to step in with the busiest week ever!

So my question is, for people that have taken a week off for whatever reason, when you got back into it, did you move onto the week that would follow next (in my case, I would be starting Week 4) or did you repeat the week before to get back into it again?

Any advice/words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated :)

A week off is not a lot. If you felt comfortable with Week 3 then just pick up where you left off.

Keep calm and carry on with the next scheduled run. Enjoy!

(It was the first and one of the most useful recommendations I got when I joined the forum. Followed by the big support knickers tip!)

Sorry to butt into this thread, but I'm quite new to this forum and I'm intrigued to know what the 'big support knickers' tip is... I think I may need it in my life!

... for those of us women who wobble uncomfortably in places that are not contained by a sports bra. Big firm control cotton (and shedloads of lycra) knickers from M&S.

Carry on regardless ( sounds like a song :)).. if you were feeling okay, then just pick up where you left off and head out :)

Ooh.

My first reaction is 'move on', however, there is quite an increase in the running time between weeks 3 and 4.

Give week 4 run 1 a go with the 'reserve' that you aren't to be disheartened if you find it a bit hard.

You can always repeat a week 4 run if necessary.

Hopefully you will run through it, no problems :)

I totally agree with just going for it😀

A week really isn't that long but it is down to confidence. If you managed your last run ok then you are ready for this one 👍 If you are really doubting yourself redo the last one before moving on. I honestly don't think you'll need to though

I had to take a month off before w5 due to sinus/ chest problems and restarted at my previous run with no problems, that was a whopping 4 weeks between weeks 4 and 5 😳

You're ready! Go for it! ✋️💪👍😀

Just carry on, I had few shorter and longer breaks. After a week, you can easily continue the next run, just go easy, slow and steady.

For a longer break, I'd recommend repeating last run or even last week, if it would be several months. With just 1 week, you don't need to worry ;)

Thanks everyone!

I think it was a mental block more than anything else, but I went out and started week 4 anyways - it was hard but I did it!
