my first 9k run

well, I'm training for a 10 k and doing the think pink podcast with interval running. But I'm also going out once a week on a nice slow, keep-going-as-long-as-you-can run to build up my stamina and today I got to 9k.

I'm usually allergic to explanation marks but right now all I want to say is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you'd told me in October when I started the couch to 5k that I'd ever ever run for that long or that far I'd have laughed. It really doesn't seem that long ago that those five minute runs felt impossible. I love the way this whole thing makes you realize you don't have the limits that you thought you had. Makes me feel I could do anything. Sod it maybe next I'll take up the violin.

Fantastic!! :) You have every right to over-use those exclamation marks!!!!

A brilliant run and no need for violin playing! ;) 10k is just round the corner......
