Today I was still mainly resting my knee that's giving me gyp, but wanting to test it at the same time. I managed a 8 km walk with hubby, my knee strapped up in an elastic bandage.
We were walking in the woods at Glenmore/Loch Morlich, near Aviemore as son was running in the Meall a' Bhuachaille Hill Race. That race was 13km and 750m of ascent and there was a field of about 100 runners - and I'm in awe of them all! There was a wee bit of snow on the ground and our son said the temperature was wee ways below freezing with wind chill on the top (810m). Son said he got a bit cold as they had to run about 5 km along the ridge, running into the north-westerly wind.
I'm glad to report my knee is no worse - and maybe a bit better. I stopped at the chemist on the way home and bought a shaped 'Sports' knee support to use for tomorrow's run.
