Does hanging out on this site recovery days count as cross-training? :-)

I'm finding I have no time to cross-train as I'm addicted to this site! :-)

Same here, thought Facebook was bad!! ;) The difference is we're off the couch, doing something!

No, I'm on the couch on my laptop.

Still sulking cos cold/bug means no running, fear it may have gone to chest.

Maybe I can do my knee strengthening exercises while on laptop.

Personally, I detest Facebook.

This site is kind of more real. I feel as if I honestly know some of you.

You mean there's some doubt about it being cross-training???? Jeez... I've been doing it for weeks too...

I thought cross-training was when you bu??ered off to the gym in a foul mood ;)

Oh yes, if we're all reading and writing (just imagine!)) posts on here as we pump hard on an exercise bike. We *are* all pedalling along as we visit here, aren't we? ;-)

I'm exercising my right arm lifting the glass of wine....

I did run 4 miles earlier though !

Absolutely! I'm using the site with my arm in plaster --- keep my fingertips fit! Btw plaster off tomorrow way hay!

Woo-hoo! Good luck whenever you can start training again! Will your arm be okay to run just as it is - or maybe some kind of splint to support bandage would help for the first week or two? Keep us posted!

Dunno Mitts. I was thinking of running back home from hospital -- it's up in the hills, a very prety run down to town. I can't drive up there of course with me arm in plaster! But I don't know whether I am allowed to run normally, but my real question is, where do I begin? Should I start over? Or half-way -- e.g, Week 4 ? I was practically about to start week 7 when I fell. What do you think?

Good luck for getting your plaster off Delia. Why not try one run of week 3 and see how you feel, your arm especially. If that goes well move onto week 4 and so on then if you find any of the weeks really hard do all 3 runs. Listen to your body and ask at the clinic/hospital about a support bandage. All the best.

Thanks Oldgirl -- I must say I'm really quite scared about tomorrow. These 6 weeks have really dragged by -- also cos my eldest is away in portugal ...my nest is slowly emptying. .. mid-life crisis?
