Just done W6R2 and I'm feeling gooood a bit nippy to start off but soon warmed up. Battled the wind on the way there but made it up a not too steep hill. Wind on my back on the return gently helping me along up another hill. Arrived home with a 'tomato' red face but a huge grin. I am so loving this journey. I can't believe that I was almost horizontal running for 1 min in week 1!!! I am living proof that if you follow all the advice and tips that anybody can do this.
Loving the support on here too. Thank you all

Well done Bongodrums. It's a great feeling when you beat the hills, isn't it!
I could have written the same title for my run today too! I was very lucky and found a 30 mins 'weather window' when the wind wasn't so bad and the rain was only well, rain, not sand-blast-your-face-and-soak-you-in-2-minutes power-washer rain! I choose to stick to the local roads and although I only did 4km in the 30 mins, I tackled two hills that I'd not run up before. I'm feeling great now.
Thank you & well done to you too swanscot you're right, it is a great feeling. I live in one of the flattest counties in the UK but we do have little and fairly long hills and they've always daunted me. There is another steeper hill along the lane but no footpath and quite bendy I'm not sure I'd feel safe tackling that one as cars do whizz by a bit fast.
I have yet to run in the rain yet. I'm looking forward to it as hear its quite exhilarating?
Great job bongodrums!!! You are getting very close to week 7! You should be very proud of yourself conquering the hills and the wind today! I still try to find the most level route I can!
