I am starting W5 tomorrow, just looked at the 3 different runs, it seems a big jump to run for 8mins in R2 to 20mins in R3 continuously

To those who have already done it, how did you find it?

Yep, it does seem big and that is really what W5,R3 is about - the mental challenge. The amazing thing is, though, that if you have done all the preceeding runs, you CAN do it. :) Your body is ready, you just have to convince your brain. ;)

As someone else said, W5,R2 is two 8 minute runs with a walk in between. W5,R3 is two 8 minutes runs with a run between. :D

Oh I like that! Two runs with a run in between! I'm going to remember that next week!

It is quite a daunting prospect but I promise you that if you have got this far you are physically ready.

A lot of the runs from now on are about having the mental strength and patience to keep going!

You have to know and believe that you can do it. I was very worried all day on the day I was due to do it but went off to the gym as usual that evening (was too scared to run anywhere else till week 8), reminding myself that hundreds and hundreds of others had done this run, and that I was going to just try my best.

Take it at a nice easy pace, on level ground if possible, and just look forward to one of the best feelings in the world as you finish it!

Trust in the plan and have faith and belief in yourself. You have come this far and have done the preparation in each and every week. Don't go too fast and relax into your stride. You will be amazed how well you will cope with it. :) All the best.

You will do it, you will be ready if you have completed all previous runs, take it nice and slow, and got for it. I think we all worried about week 5, its an amazing feeling when you complete it.

Good luck let us know how you get on, we will be thinking of you :)

I've got one more run of week 4 left. Week 5 next, it sounds terrifying! So good to see that people are able to do it tho, I just cannot imagine running for 20 mins!

It's so true, I'm off to do R2 tomorrow which I am not hugely worried about knowing I've done the other runs but it is just the fact that R3 is not only doubling the most I've run in one go, but adding another 4 mins !!

Like you said, so many people on here have managed it that I am determind to do it myself. Good luck with the rest of W4
