Swollen ankels

I can't tell if it's the running on the treadmill that has swollen my ankles or not. I am on week 4 day 1 and I am totally hooked. I don't want to take a break- my ankels pain slightly and are bigger than usual.

can anyone tell me what's up with that?

I'm definitely no expert, but it might pay to rest a bit until the swelling goes down and then see how it goes again. Maybe your ankles are still adjusting to the new exercise and if so, taking some rest now will allow them to rebuild and get stronger. A couple of rest days is better than several weeks of rest following injury! And taking a few days off won't affect your new fitness level. If it comes back after this, then maybe time to seek advice from the dr on how to prevent :) hope they get better soon!

aww thank you for the reply :) I put some tiger balm on my ankels last night, the swelling has gone down, but the pain is there- nothing to major- just a pain that is there. I'm getting some proper running shoes on saturday.
