To think that they only started rowing four years ago.
Our first Gold for Great Britain! An awesome performance!
And although we may not be Olympians ourselves, we can all achieve what we think is the unachievable...whether it is 60 seconds of running, 30 minutes, or marathon...we can make it happen!
I have never been this interested in the olympics, but this year I am enjoying every moment of it, partly because it is in the country, but mainly because since I started running I have a glimpse of just how much work and pain must go into being that fit, and just how strong mentally they have to be.

Excellent post - I was just thinking the very same thing this morning on my run (which I struggled with), I may not be an Olympian but C25k is a big challenge/achievement for me. I came home & Chris Evans was playing the Olympics theme - I did a lap of honour around the bed (which my husband was still in!).
I'm really enjoying the Olympics this year & it inspires me to keep going.
So true! I've been watching the highlights every day and it's really spurred me on in my running because I've seen what great joy and sense of achievement sports can bring, even if we're not quite olympic standard. And to think they did it in just 4 years, think how good we'll be at running in 4 years time! Maybe see you all at the 5000m race at the 2016 games....
